Jambo to Tanzania!! Upon arrival in Kilimanjaro airport, proceed directly to your hotel in Arusha. Settle in and have a welcome dinner with the team!

Day 3 Sunday October 10 Arusha

Rest day to acclimatize and prepare for the trip.

Day 4 Monday October 11 Simba Camp

Our adventure begins! Off to Nale Moru. After lunch our hike begins.

Day 5 Tuesday October 12 Kikelelwa Camp

After breakfast we hed to Kikelelwa Camp – 3450 m.

Day 6 Wednesday October 13 Mawenzi Tarn Camp

Off to Mawenzi Tarn and an afternoon of acclimatizing to 4500 m.

Day 7 Thursday October 14 Mawenzi Tarn Camp

Today is an acclimatization day – short walks around our campsite.

Day 8 Friday October 15 Kibo Camp

Today we cross the lunar desert between Mawenzi and Kibo – 4700 m.

Early dinner and a good sleep for summit attempt at midnight.

Day 9 Saturday October 16 Horombo Camp

Dawn summit, then back down past Kibo to Horombo camp.

Day 10 Sunday October 17 Arusha

Back down to the National Park Gate at Marangu and back to Arusha.

Day 11 Monday October 18 Arusha

A well deserved day of relaxing, as well as an afternoon visit to Ilkurot Primary School.

Day 12 Tuesday October 19 Lake Manyara

After breakfast we head to Lake Manyara. Can you spot the “Big 5”?

Day 13 Wednesday October 20 Simba Campsite

Off to Ngorongoro Crater. Marvel at this UNESCP World Heritage Site.

Day 14 Thursday October 21 Bush Campsite

Last stop is Lake Eyasi, home to the Hadzabe Bushmen. Live and learn from these hunters and gatherers.

Day 15 Friday October 22 Arusha

Early morning hunting with Hadzabe Bushmen and then back to Arusha for our final dinner!

Day 16 Saturday October 23 Departure

We day goodbye to Africa and head home to Toronto.
